This Al Manaarah learning guide supports Arabic Alphabet & Pronunciation. Use it before a lesson to identify a starting point, then return to the activity after teacher feedback.

Find the contrast

Choose two sounds you often confuse and ask for examples in familiar words. Listen before repeating. Can you hear that the examples differ, even if you cannot yet produce the difference? That is a useful first question to answer.

Watch, listen and ask

Ask your teacher to model the sound and describe where it is formed. Avoid forcing your voice or copying an English spelling as though it were an exact pronunciation guide. A written cue can remind you of a sound, but it cannot replace hearing it.

Move from sound to useful word

Practise the sound on its own, then in a small number of words. Use one of those words in a short phrase. This checks whether the sound remains clear when your attention also shifts to meaning.

Keep the feedback specific

A private recording can help you compare attempts if you are comfortable making one. Note which example improved and which still needs guidance. Share recordings only when you choose to. Bring the contrast to an Al Manaarah pronunciation or alphabet lesson.

Try this alongside your lesson

Ask for two words containing the sounds you confuse. Listen in an unpredictable order, identify the sound, then record each word in a short phrase for feedback.

Connect this guide with your course

Bring your attempt and one specific question to your Al Manaarah teacher. Choose the starting level through placement and feedback; a related course is an option to discuss, not a requirement to enrol in every program.
